Four-stroke engines are similar to the engines found in your automobile, run much, much quieter and do not require mixing the oil with the gas. Just like a car, you can fill up at a gas station.
The 4X four stroke scooter engine is California C.A.R.B. compliant so it’s much more environmentally friendly, and legal for use in California. These four stroke gas scooters are much, much quieter than a typical 2-stroke model. The Mosquito Stinger 4X four stroke gas scooter is driven by an upgraded rear wheel sprocket which increases low end torque without sacrificing the high end speed, plus it freewheels so you no longer have the chain and gears dragging when coasting.
The 4X four stroke version of the Stinger comes with all the standard two-stroke Stinger features that have established it a reliable ride. It’s taller than most gas scooters, riding on rugged 16 inch tires mounted on classic spoked rims. The 16” tires, combined with an extra long frame, provide superb ground clearance delivers a stable and comfortable ride under a variety of terrain conditions including country roads, mountain trails and your local bike lanes. It delivers a typical top speed of 20 mph and enough torque to handle most any hill. The Stinger’s highly engineered gear box system is far more durable and efficient than direct drive systems you’ll find elsewhere. It comes with front and rear brakes.
