Tuning and Racing RC Cars
You can tune the electric motor for more speed or power, but proper break-in from the start will be required to get it to give it's best performance. By breaking in your motor properly,You create less heat and premature wear and tear.with the wheels off of the ground and the radio control pulled about 1/4 of the way for few minutes should get the brushes fully seated to the commutator with less wear and tear and allow the motor to reach its full potential longer. Be sure to break in the motor again if you change the
brushes on it!
For Nitro powered rc cars and trucks beginners, you should follow the instructions tune and set up their engines which usually call for a slow break in period with the carburetor needles set to allow more fuel to keep the engine running cooler than normal race conditions. If the kit you buy is ready to run, the default engine tuning settings should be sufficient.
